How cannabis brands in DC work
The District runs a closed market: cannabis sold in a DC dispensary has to be grown and processed in DC by a licensed cultivator or manufacturer. That is why the shelf reads the way it does. AltSol, District Cannabis, Molecular Farms, CornerStore Cultivation and Choof are District growers in the plain sense. Cookies and Khalifa Kush are national names whose genetics are grown here under license, so the jar carries the famous name and a local lab test. Dompen builds its hardware elsewhere and fills it for the DC market.
Edibles and drinks follow the same rule. Pink Fox, Easy Day and Coast are District manufacturers; Maximum Wellness is a family company working across Maryland and DC. Every pack on the counter has a DC batch certificate behind it, and the per-piece milligrams are on the listing.
How to use these pages
Each brand page lists every product we carry from that maker with today's price, size and THC, grouped by category, plus the strains in stock with a link to each strain's terpene panel. The copy at the top is ours: what the brand is, what it is good at, and what people who shop it twice a week tend to pick. If a brand has only a product or two on the shelf, its page is short and says so.
If you would rather start from a feeling than a name, shop by feel; from a product type, shop by category; from a strain, the strain menu. Today's markdowns across every brand are on the deals page, and if you are comparing shops rather than brands, what to look for in a DC dispensary is the honest version.
