Order history: what you bought, when, and any preferences you tell us.
Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected through cookies and analytics when you use greenlegacydc.com.

2. How we use it

To take, fill and hand over orders, whether pickup or delivery.
To verify age, identity and patient registration as the law requires.
To send order updates, delivery notifications and receipts.
To send marketing from Green Legacy only, and only if you opted in.
To run the rewards program, answer questions and improve the shop and the website.
To meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including record-keeping rules for D.C. medical cannabis licensees.

3. We do not sell or share your information for marketing

We do not sell, rent, trade or share your personal information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. It is used by Green Legacy to provide the services described in this privacy policy, and for nothing else.

4. Text messaging (SMS)

If you opt in to text messages from Green Legacy (order updates, delivery notifications or offers), the following applies:

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
All categories of personal information described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; that information will not be shared with, or sold to, any third party.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

5. When we share information

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the shop: the point-of-sale and online menu platform, delivery logistics, payment processing and the messaging platform that sends our texts. They may use your information only to perform services for us and may not use it for their own marketing.

We may also disclose information when required by law, regulation or valid legal process, including requests from the D.C. Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Administration, or to protect the rights and safety of customers and staff.

6. Age and patient requirement

Green Legacy is a licensed medical cannabis dispensary. The website and services are intended only for adults 21 or over who hold a valid D.C. medical cannabis registration or an accepted out-of-state medical card. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21 and we do not market to minors.

7. Cookies and analytics

greenlegacydc.com uses cookies and analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand how the site is used and to improve it. You can control cookies in your browser settings. The online menu is operated by our e-commerce provider and sets its own cookies to keep your cart and login working.

8. Security and retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information. We keep it only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as long as D.C. cannabis regulations and tax law require us to keep sales and verification records.

9. Your choices

Opt out of marketing texts at any time by replying STOP.
Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email.
Ask to see, correct or delete your personal information by contacting us at hello@shopgreenlegacydc.com. Some records we are legally required to keep cannot be deleted on request.

10. Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page with its effective date.
