Terms and conditions. The rules of the shop.

1. Eligibility

Under these terms and conditions you must be 21 or over, hold a valid D.C. medical cannabis registration or an accepted out-of-state medical card, and present valid government-issued photo ID to buy from Green Legacy. We verify age, identity and registration on every order. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you present; false, altered or borrowed identification means immediate refusal of service.

2. Products and compliance

Green Legacy is a licensed medical cannabis dispensary in Washington, D.C. Every product is sold under District of Columbia law and regulations. Products are for the personal use of the registered patient who buys them, inside the District. They may not be resold, given to anyone under 21 or to anyone who is not a registered patient, or carried across state lines. You are solely responsible for complying with the laws that apply to your purchase, possession and use.

3. Health and safety; assumption of risk

• Cannabis is intoxicating and can impair concentration, coordination and judgement. Do not drive or operate machinery under the influence.
• There may be health risks associated with cannabis, including for people who are pregnant, breastfeeding or have existing medical conditions. Talk to your physician before use.
• Products have not been analyzed or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Nothing we say about a product is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
• Keep every product away from children and pets.
• Effects vary from person to person. Start low and go slow, especially with edibles, which can take two hours or longer to come on.

By buying or using products from Green Legacy you knowingly and voluntarily assume the risks that come with cannabis, including adverse or allergic reactions, interactions with medication and impairment, and you accept responsibility for storing products securely and using them lawfully.

4. No medical advice

Nothing in these terms and conditions, on this website, in marketing or from staff at the counter is medical advice; it is general information. Product descriptions, potency figures, terpene panels and effect ratings come from supplier and laboratory data and from customer-reported experience; they are not guarantees. Always consult a licensed healthcare provider about the medical use of cannabis.

5. Orders, pickup and delivery

Orders can be placed on the online menu for in-store pickup or for delivery inside the District of Columbia. We do not deliver into Maryland or Virginia. We may refuse, limit or cancel any order at our discretion, including where age, identity or registration cannot be verified or where we suspect fraud, resale or diversion.

Delivery requires the registered patient to be present and to show valid ID and registration matching the order. Responsibility for the products passes to you at handover. If a delivery cannot be completed because a valid recipient is not available, the order may be returned to the shop and a redelivery or restocking fee may apply.

6. All sales final; returns

Because cannabis is a regulated product, all sales are final. Unopened products with a verifiable manufacturing defect may be exchanged at our discretion and in line with D.C. regulations; contact us within 48 hours of purchase with your receipt. Nothing here limits any right you have under law that cannot be waived.

7. Pricing, promotions and availability

Prices, discounts, rewards, promotions and availability can change or end at any time without notice. Lab figures shown on the website are for the batch on the shelf when the page was built; the online menu listing is authoritative. If a price or listing is wrong we may cancel the affected order. Rewards points and promotional credit have no cash value and may be adjusted or withdrawn in cases of error or abuse.

8. Text message program

• By opting in to Green Legacy text messages (online, in store or by texting us) you consent to receive recurring order-related and promotional texts at the number you gave us. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
• Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP at any time to cancel; we will confirm the opt-out and send nothing further. Reply HELP for help, email hello@shopgreenlegacydc.com, or call (202) 506-5449.
• Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Your mobile number and opt-in data are never shared with or sold to third parties for marketing. See the privacy policy.

9. Website use and accuracy

These terms and conditions cover the website too. We work to keep it accurate and available, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that product information (including THC and terpene percentages and stock levels) is complete or current. Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or practices.

10. Intellectual property

Everything on greenlegacydc.com, including text, photographs, illustrations, logos and branding, belongs to Green Legacy or its licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows under these terms and conditions: (a) Green Legacy, its owners, employees and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, arising from the services or from your purchase or use of any product; and (b) our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the product or order the claim relates to. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Green Legacy, its owners, employees and agents from any claims, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your breach of these terms or of applicable law; (b) misuse of any product, including resale, transfer to anyone under 21 or to a non-patient, or transport outside the District; (c) false or misleading information or identification you provide; or (d) your negligence or wilful misconduct.

13. Dispute resolution; class action waiver

Read this section carefully; it affects your legal rights. Before filing any claim you agree to contact us at hello@shopgreenlegacydc.com and give us 30 days to resolve it informally. Except for matters brought in small claims court, any dispute arising from these terms, the services or any product will be resolved by final and binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, held in Washington, D.C. You and Green Legacy each waive the right to a jury trial and agree that disputes will be brought only on an individual basis, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, consolidated or representative action. If the class action waiver is found unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim proceeds in court and the rest of this section stands.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

15. Force majeure

Under these terms and conditions we are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including weather, power or network outages, supplier or platform failures, regulatory action or other unforeseen events.

16. Changes to these terms and conditions

If any provision of these terms and conditions is found unenforceable, the rest remain in force. These terms, together with the privacy policy, are the entire agreement between you and Green Legacy about the services. We may update them from time to time; continuing to use the services after changes are posted means you accept them.
