Foggy Bottom to our door is 3.2 miles. Call it 9–15 minutes. If you use George Washington University, Kennedy Center and Watergate to find your way around, you're already close.

Foggy Bottom is students, the State Department, and the river end of the Mall. If the car's not an option, start at Foggy Bottom–GWU (Blue/Orange/Silver) and finish the last stretch by bus.

At this distance, dodge the 4-to-7 crawl on 14th if you can. Every day, 11 AM to 8 PM. Weekends get busy from about two onwards.
