Herndon to Green Legacy, step by step

19.0 miles. 52–88 minutes. That's the whole trip from Herndon, and it's mostly a straight shot east.

The short version of Herndon: small-town character, walkable historic downtown, Silver Line connected. If the car's not an option, start at Herndon Metro (Silver Line) and finish the last stretch by bus.

Delivery stops at the District line, so Herndon is out of range for that. Pickup solves it. Order on the menu, come when it suits you, skip the line at the counter. Whatever you buy stays in the District; carrying it across the line is a federal offense.

From out that far, order ahead. Saves a wasted trip if the thing you wanted just sold out. We run 11 to 8 all week. If you want time to ask questions, come before three on a weekday.
