What to expect from Cherry Diesel
The Cherry Diesel strain is a calm strain first and a happy one second, going by the effect scores (9 and 8 out of ten). There's some relaxed in there too.
Effect scores are the menu's customer-reported ratings, not medical claims. Effects vary by person, dose and product.
On our shop-by-feel page that puts Cherry Diesel in the Relaxed and Happy lanes. If you'd rather start from a feeling than a name, that page is the shortcut.
Where Cherry Diesel comes from
Cherry Diesel is usually listed as Cherry OG crossed with Turbo Diesel. The fruit is up front, the fuel arrives on the exhale.
AltSol (Alternative Solutions) grows in the District and supplies most of our flower and the Good Night / Great Day pre-roll packs. Consistent jars, honest lab sheets, and a house style that leans gassy. More on the grower at altsol.co.
When to use it
It works at either end of the day. Keep the dose small in the afternoon and it stays functional; push it in the evening and it settles you down.
Lab sheet
Cherry Diesel terpene profile
Terpenes explain more than the THC number does. In the Cherry Diesel strain it's limonene-forward (0.41%) with 1.67% in total, which is why the nose is citrus and lemon.
- Limonene 0.41% Smells like: citrus, lemon, herbal Same terpene as lemon rind. When it sits near the top of the sheet the aroma is sharp and clean rather than sweet.
- Beta Myrcene 0.30% Smells like: earthy, musk, cloves Myrcene is the most common terpene in cannabis and the one people associate with a heavier, couch-leaning feel.
- Beta Caryophyllene 0.27% Smells like: sharp, spice, sweet, wood Beta-caryophyllene is the peppery one. It is also found in black pepper and cloves, and it gives a lot of gas strains their bite.
- Linalool 0.17% Smells like: floral, herbal, lavender Linalool is subtle in most flower, but where it climbs the sheet the strain tends to read as gentle rather than racy.
- Beta Pinene 0.15% Smells like: woody, pine Alpha and beta pinene both show up on the sheet. Together they are the fresh, resinous smell at the front of a lot of sativas.
Terpene percentages are from the current batch's certificate of analysis. Our guides explain how to read one and why the total matters more than the THC.
