The feel of Gelato Cake
Effects aren't rated for this batch of the Gelato Cake strain. Ask at the counter; someone will have tried it. Failing that, the terpenes tell most of the story.
Where Gelato Cake comes from
Gelato Cake is Gelato #33 crossed with Wedding Cake. Two dessert strains, one very dense, very frosty result.
District Cannabis is one of the original D.C. cultivators. Their extracts, the liquid diamonds and sauce carts and the cured sugars, are where a lot of our concentrate shelf comes from. More on the grower at districtcannabis.com.
When to use it
Keep it for after work. Gelato Cake is built for a sofa and a long evening, not a to-do list.
Lab sheet
Gelato Cake strain terpenes and aroma
In the Gelato Cake strain limonene leads at 0.75%, out of 2.07% total terpenes. Limonene, caryophyllene and linalool make up most of what you'll smell.
- Limonene 0.75% Smells like: citrus, lemon, herbal Same terpene as lemon rind. When it sits near the top of the sheet the aroma is sharp and clean rather than sweet.
- Beta Caryophyllene 0.38% Smells like: sharp, spice, sweet, wood Beta-caryophyllene is the peppery one. It is also found in black pepper and cloves, and it gives a lot of gas strains their bite.
- Linalool 0.35% Smells like: floral, herbal, lavender That soft floral thing underneath a Kush is usually linalool. It is the same compound that makes lavender smell like lavender.
- Alpha Pinene 0.17% Smells like: pine Alpha and beta pinene both show up on the sheet. Together they are the fresh, resinous smell at the front of a lot of sativas.
- Beta Pinene 0.17% Smells like: woody, pine Pinene is the sharp, green note. Rosemary and pine needles carry it too.
Terpene percentages are from the current batch's certificate of analysis. Our guides explain how to read one and why the total matters more than the THC.
