How Mimosa lands
No effect scores on the sheet for the Mimosa strain. What we can tell you: it's a sativa-leaning hybrid, and the terpene profile below is the better guide anyway.
Where Mimosa comes from
Mimosa is Clementine crossed with Purple Punch, from Symbiotic Genetics. Orange juice on the nose, and lighter on its feet than the Purple Punch parent.
Molecular Farms runs a small-batch grow in the District. Their flower tends toward sativa-leaning cuts, and their disposables are a reliable pick when you want a strain name you recognize in a vape. More on the grower at molecularfarms.com.
When to use it
A daytime strain. Good before doing something, less good before trying to sleep.
Lab sheet
What's on the lab sheet
Total terpenes in the Mimosa strain come in at 3.43%. The profile is limonene, caryophyllene and myrcene, in that order, with limonene doing the heavy lifting at 1.22%.
- Limonene 1.22% Smells like: citrus, lemon, herbal Same terpene as lemon rind. When it sits near the top of the sheet the aroma is sharp and clean rather than sweet.
- Beta Caryophyllene 0.76% Smells like: sharp, spice, sweet, wood Caryophyllene is the terpene researchers single out most often, because it behaves a little differently from the rest. On the nose it is pepper and clove.
- Beta Myrcene 0.35% Smells like: earthy, musk, cloves The earthy, almost fruity base note in a lot of jars is myrcene. High levels usually mean a softer, slower landing.
- Alpha Pinene 0.30% Smells like: pine Pinene is the sharp, green note. Rosemary and pine needles carry it too.
- Humulene 0.25% Smells like: herbal, spice, woody, earthy If a strain smells a bit like a pine forest floor, humulene is doing some of that work.
Terpene percentages are from the current batch's certificate of analysis. Our guides explain how to read one and why the total matters more than the THC.
