Topicals in DC, on the skin, not in the lungs.

Topicals are cannabis you put on rather than in: balms, bath soaks and lotions infused with cannabinoids. They do not get you high, which is the whole point for the people who buy them.

Topicals at Green Legacy right now

It is a small section, three or four products at a time, but it is the one we get the most questions about, usually from people who have never bought cannabis before.

Everything above is topicals in DC you can order right now, specials first, then new arrivals. Stock and prices are the live menu's; the menu wins if they disagree.

What to know about topicals in DC

What to know about cannabis topicals in DC: they are absorbed through the skin and stay local, so there is no intoxication and no drug-test concern from normal use. The exception is transdermal patches, which we do not currently carry.

Read the milligrams on the jar the same way you would an edible; a higher number means a stronger product, not a stronger effect on you. Apply to clean skin and give it twenty minutes.

How we stock it

We stock what tests clean and sells: a balm, a bath soak and a lotion or two. If you want something specific, ask and we will tell you whether a grower makes it. Because the range is small it rarely goes on special, but it also rarely sells out, so what you see on this page is usually on the shelf.

Topicals are the one category where we happily sell to someone who is not otherwise a cannabis customer. You still need the DC registration and ID, though.

You need a DC medical registration to buy anything on this page; it is free and takes two minutes on the ABCA patient portal, and our registration guide walks through it. Our guides go deeper on dosing and reading a lab sheet.

Questions about topicals in DC

Will a topical get me high?

No. Balms, lotions and soaks act on the skin where they are applied and do not enter the bloodstream in meaningful amounts.

How much do topicals cost in DC?

Roughly $25 to $50 depending on size and strength on our menu. The live menu shows today's prices.

Do I need a medical card for a topical?

Yes. Every product on the shelf, including topicals, requires a DC medical cannabis registration and ID at the counter.

Do you deliver topicals?

Yes, same day inside Washington, DC. Pickup for Maryland and Virginia customers.

What is in a cannabis bath soak?

Epsom salts and oils infused with cannabinoids. It dissolves in the bath the same way a plain soak does.
