- RSO Dosing Guide for D.C. Patients: Start Here The syringe has no serving size on it. This is the one we give people at the counter, and it has kept a lot of first nights uneventful. NaN min read
- RSO Edible Ratio Guide: How Much Oil Per Batch One gram of RSO can be a month of edibles or one very rough evening. The difference is the ratio, and the ratio is just arithmetic. NaN min read
- Flower vs Carts: Which Is Best for You? The two things most people buy first, and the question we answer at the counter every single day. Neither is better. One is better for you. NaN min read
- RSO Capsules: How to Make and Dose Them at Home The tidiest way to take RSO. No taste, no eyeballing a rice grain, and the same dose every single night. NaN min read
- RSO Topical for Pain Relief: Simple Tips That Help The way a lot of our patients use RSO without ever feeling high. Rubbed in, it stays where you put it. Here is how to get the most out of that. NaN min read
- How to Dose Edibles Safely: A First-Timer's Guide Edibles are the product most people get wrong once and then swear off. Almost every bad story is the same story, and it is avoidable. NaN min read
- RSO vs Tinctures: Which One Is Best for You? They sit two shelves apart and get confused every day. One is a dropper you can measure to the drop. The other is a syringe of concentrated oil that does a lot with a little. NaN min read
- Sativa vs Indica vs Hybrid: What the Labels Really Mean The first sorting system everyone learns, and the one that fails most often at the counter. Useful as a starting point. Not useful as a promise. NaN min read
- Live Resin vs Distillate: Which Cart Is Best for You? Two extracts that end up in identical-looking cartridges and could not be more different inside. One tastes like the plant. The other is the plant reduced to a single molecule. NaN min read
- The Entourage Effect: Why THC Percent Is a Poor Guide Two strains at 24% THC can feel like different plants. The number on the jar is one ingredient in a recipe, and this is what the rest of the recipe does. NaN min read
- Best Cannabis for Sleep, Focus and Social Nights Three goals we hear at the counter every day, and three different shelves. Here is how we match them. NaN min read
- How to Read a Cannabis COA (Lab Report) in 5 Minutes Every product we sell has a certificate of analysis behind it. Most people never look. Here is what it says, and what a good one proves. NaN min read
- Microdosing Cannabis: Benefits, Doses and How to Start The dose where you feel better but not high. Smaller than you think, easier than it sounds, and the way a lot of our daytime patients use the plant. NaN min read
- RSO Sublingual Tips: How to Absorb More, Waste Less Under the tongue is the faster route, and the one most people abandon after a week because nobody told them how to do it with something this sticky. NaN min read
- RSO Topical Methods: How to Use It on Skin Rubbed into skin, RSO stays local. No high, no clock-watching, just the oil doing what it does where you put it. Here's how patients make it usable. NaN min read
- RSO Storage: Simple Rules So It Lasts RSO is tough stuff. Treat it like good olive oil and it keeps for a year. Leave it on a sunny windowsill and it fades in a month. NaN min read
- RSO Absorption Methods: A Simple Guide Same syringe, four different experiences depending on how it gets into you. Pick the route that matches what you need from it. NaN min read
- Indica or Sativa RSO? What the Label Really Tells You The syringe says indica. That tells you what went into the wash, not exactly what you'll feel. Here's how to read past the word. NaN min read
- RSO for Sleep: A Simple Nighttime Routine That Works Most people who use RSO at night are not chasing a high. They want to stay asleep. Timing is the part that decides whether it works. NaN min read
- 8 RSO Beginner Mistakes (and the Easy Fix for Each) Nobody reads the guide before their first syringe. Read this one after, and the second night goes better than the first. NaN min read
- Cooking With RSO: Easy Infusions That Keep the Potency RSO is already activated, so the kitchen's only job is to hide the taste and spread the dose evenly. Everything else is optional. NaN min read
Where to start with these guides
If you are brand new, read the edible dosing guide first. It is the single place people most often get caught out — edibles can take up to two hours to arrive, and the instinct to re-dose after twenty minutes is what turns a pleasant evening into an unpleasant one.
After that, terpenes are the highest-value thing to understand. THC percentage is a surprisingly poor predictor of how something will feel; the terpene profile and the way compounds interact — the entourage effect — matter more. That is the reasoning behind our shop by feel approach, which starts from the effect you want instead of a strain name.
Verifying what you buy
The COA guide is worth ten minutes if you want to check products yourself. Every compliant D.C. product has a certificate of analysis behind it, and we will show you one on request. The FDA’s consumer guidance on cannabis products is a reasonable neutral primer on what testing does and does not tell you.
Then come and ask
Guides are useful but a two-minute conversation usually beats them. Describe what you want out of it and we will match you to something on the shelf today — in store, for pickup, or by same-day delivery. If you are not yet registered, that takes about two minutes.
Questions about our cannabis guides
Who are these cannabis guides for?
Mostly people early in the D.C. medical program who want a straight answer without wading through forum folklore. They are also a decent refresher if you have been away from it a while.
How current are they?
They cover fundamentals — dosing, terpenes, extraction, lab reports — which change far more slowly than product availability. For anything about stock or price, use the live menu.
Can I just ask someone instead?
Yes, and often that is faster. Describe what you want out of it at the counter or over the phone and we will narrow it to two or three options.
Do I need to read these before visiting?
Not at all. Nobody expects homework. They exist for people who like understanding the thing they are buying.
